The XXVIII Brazilian Computing Society Congress (CSBC) will take place for the first time in the North of Brazil. Belém do Pará will be the Brazilian capital of technology. During one week, debates and discussions on the advancement in this area will bring together scientists, technicians, computing professionals, as well as students, with the goal of exchanging information and experiences with the scientific community of the whole country.

The CSBC 2008 theme is: "Computing Great Challenges". Approximately 3.000 people are expected to participate in the congress which will be held at the Hangar - Convention and Fair Center of the Amazon, considered the most modern convention center of North and Northeast of the country.

The CSBC 2008 happens in July. Organized by the in partnership with the Federal University of Pará (UFPA).

Actually, the Pará Sate is going through a moment of great discussion on the technological development and digital inclusion for the whole State, and achieving this is one of the main goals of the State Government. The realization of the CSBC happens to confirm that the Pará State also discusses and develops technology.

The SBC is going to commemorate 30 years during this XXVIII Annual Congress, in Belém of Pará, from 12th to 18th of July, 2008. We are waiting for you!
